Who is behind BioniCEL

Within the field of upper-limb prosthetics, BionicEL Solutions is among the few specialized providers offering both consulting and hands-on support to users, physicians, and prosthetic technicians. The focus is always on creating solutions that combine advanced technology with practical usability in everyday life.

Marvin Ellsässer

From an early age, Marvin Ellsässer, founder of BionicEL Solutions, was fascinated by the interaction between humans and technology. Whether through Lego Technic or science fiction, the idea of merging engineering with the human body sparked his curiosity from the very beginning.

After finishing school, it quickly became clear that he wanted to pursue a career in prosthetics. Initially studying medical engineering, he soon decided to take a more hands-on path and began his training as a prosthetist at a company specializing in upper-limb prosthetics.

The upper extremity has always been his particular area of passion. Since 2023, he has been working independently in this field, sharing his expertise with users, clinicians, and prosthetic professionals. His work addresses a specific gap in the industry: compared to lower-limb prosthetics, upper-limb prosthetics are far less common, and many companies lack the resources to build highly specialized departments for this field.

Whether collaborating with patients, professionals, or medical institutions in Germany or internationally, his goal remains the same: to ensure that every upper-limb prosthetic solution meets both the individual needs of the user and the latest technological standards.

However, innovation in prosthetics does not always mean using the newest prosthetic hand or the most experimental control systems. In many cases, the most important factors lie in the details — thoughtful socket design, the right choice of materials, and precise adaptation to the user’s lifestyle and daily environment.
